Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Luwi Antakya Boutique was a fascinating blend of comfort and culinary delight. Nestled in the vibrant heart of old Antakya, the hotel boasts proximity to local bazaars and historical streets. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a complimentary upgrade to a spacious suite, complete with a kitchenette and a cozy living area. Though the dining area was undergoing renovations post-earthquake, I sampled traditional Antakyan breakfast offerings that included sürk cheese, fresh olives, and homemade bread. The local flavors were a highlight of my stay, allowing me to connect with the region's rich culinary traditions. The staff were attentive, particularly Ali, who ensured my needs were met and even followed up on my comfort throughout my stay. As a history teacher from Shanghai deeply passionate about Mediterranean cultures, this hotel served as an excellent base for both relaxation and exploration. I look forward to seeing the restaurant flourish once it reopens.
